Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions
"We", "us" or "our" refers to Craig Halford Painting and Decorating. "You" or "the customer" refers to the person or entity engaging us to provide painting and decorating services.
2. Quotes
All quotes are issued in writing after a free on-site survey and are valid for 30 days. The quote price is fixed for the scope described. Additional work outside that scope will be quoted separately and only undertaken with your written approval.
3. Acceptance and booking
A quote is accepted when you confirm in writing (email or text). We will then schedule and confirm a start date. We do not require a deposit for standard residential work.
4. Access and preparation
You agree to provide reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours and to remove or secure valuables and fragile items prior to our arrival. We will protect floors, furniture and fittings to the extent reasonable.
5. Materials
Unless otherwise agreed, all materials are supplied by us and included in the quoted price. We use trade-grade products from leading manufacturers and reserve the right to substitute equivalent products if a specified product is unavailable.
6. Payment
Payment is due in full within 7 days of completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. Bank transfer is preferred. We reserve the right to charge statutory late-payment interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
7. Workmanship guarantee
We provide a workmanship guarantee on all painting and decorating work. If a finish fails due to our application within the guarantee period we will return and put it right at no cost. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by water ingress, building movement, condensation, third-party works, or normal wear and tear.
8. Liability
We carry full public liability insurance to £5,000,000. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the contract. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel a booked job up to 7 days before the scheduled start date at no charge. Cancellations within 7 days may incur a charge equal to scheduled labour and any non-returnable materials already ordered.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
